The Ledges, Berlin, Connecticut:

This oversized Colonial Revival at 845 Worthington Ridge was built in 1930 for George E. Prentice. An immigrant from England, Prentice apprenticed in the New Britain hardware industry. In 1912, he founded the Prentice Manufacturing Company producing metal fasteners. The private residence is unique to Berlin’s Worthington Ridge Historic District.
