Ezra Mather House, Essex, Connecticut:

This Federal style house at 37 Main Street once belonged to a physician named Dr. Ezra Mather. The home was built circa 1815. Dr. Mather‘s father, Elisha Mather, was a physician in Centerbrook and Ezra’s brother, Dr. Ulysses Mather, also lived there. The house remained in the Mather family into the 1950’s.
