Simon Hazelton House, Haddam, Connecticut:
In the center of Haddam is Georgian-style house built in 1785. The home was first owned by a Revolutionary War captain named Simon Hazelton, Sr. Victorian Era alterations later added a central gable with two dormer windows on the front facade, a porch wrapping around three sides of the house and enlarged windows. In the twentieth century, the house was used for elder care and was known as Walkley Hill Home. Toady it’s a private residence.
