Thomas J. Clark House, Haddam, Connecticut:
This Italianate mansion at 263 Saybrook Road is located in the Higganum part of Haddam. It was initially built in 1875 for Thomas J. Clark (1831-1910), founder of the Higganum Manufacturing Company, later called Cutaway Harrow, which produced agricultural equipment like plows, corn-shellers, hay-spreaders, cider mills and meat-cutters.
