Chidsey-Linsley House, East Haven, Connecticut:

Built circa 1750, and renovated in 1790, this Colonial period home is one of three architectural cornerstones of East Haven Green. The Cape Cod style house at 133 Main Street has small fixed-pane windows and flared overhangs – a characteristic of Dutch influence. Around 1790, East Haven was rebuilding from British raids during the Revolution in which many earlier structures had burned. This was likely one of those damaged homes. The Chidsey and Linsley families were among the most prominent surnames in East Haven during the Colonial Era.
