James Farm Road Bridge, Stratford, Connecticut:
In 1940, residents of Stratford feared a proposed route of the Merritt Parkway by the Connecticut Highway Department, and they successfully petitioned for a new double-span bridge on James Farm Road. The Art Deco style structure is adorned with two angel wings sculptures by Edward Ferrari from white quartz and concrete.
