The Gold Building, Hartford, Connecticut:
Built in 1975, Hartford’s iconic One Financial Plaza is also known as The Gold Building. It’s an architectural expression of modernity, affluence and some might say avarice. The 26-story Class A office tower is comprised of approximately 621,000 square feet with gold-tinted windows. The building was designed by the firm Neuhaus & Taylor of Houston, Texas. It’s located a stone’s throw from Hartford’s Ancient Burying Ground, where a nearby statue of a pilgrim points towards progress.
